Buying a laptop in instalments: how it works and what to watch for

A laptop is a purchase that's hard to pay for in one go. Instalments split it into small monthly payments. Here's how it works and what to pay attention to.

The core terms

We work with Alif Nasiya. The conditions:

• Down payment — 0%. No first payment is required at purchase.
• Term — up to 24 months. That's one of the longest available locally; many shops offer 6 months.
• Limit — up to 33 million UZS, after identity verification.
• Decision — around 30 minutes.

Is it halal?

Alif Nasiya operates in accordance with Sharia principles. At partner shops, instalments are arranged with no additional fees or commission. You see the full payment schedule in the Alif app before confirming the purchase — so the final amount is known in advance.

How the process goes

1. Register with Alif — fully online in their app, takes a few minutes.
2. Receive your limit — after identity verification.
3. Choose a laptop — from the catalogue or together with a manager.
4. Complete the purchase — present your limit at payment; no extra documents needed.

What to watch for

Choose the term deliberately. A longer term means a smaller monthly payment but a longer commitment. Take the shortest term you're comfortable with.

Read the payment schedule before buying. The Alif app shows the total and the monthly payment explicitly — review them before confirming.

Don't economise on the configuration. This is the main benefit of instalments: instead of settling for the cheapest 4GB model, you can take the 8–16GB one you actually need and spread the difference across months. The monthly difference is small; you'll use the machine for years.

If a model costs more than your limit — the difference can be paid in cash, by card, or via Click or Payme.

All the same terms still apply

The warranty (2 years on new, 1 year on refurbished), free delivery and the 10-day exchange all apply in full to laptops bought on instalments.
