Affordable laptops in Tashkent: where to save in 2026

The biggest mistake when shopping for a cheap laptop is looking only at the price. Two laptops at the same price can perform completely differently. Here's where saving money is safe, and where it costs you later.

Where you can safely save

Graphics card. If you don't game or edit video, you don't need a dedicated GPU. Integrated graphics handle a browser, Office, Zoom and video perfectly well — and skipping the GPU saves hundreds of dollars.

Screen size and resolution. A 15–16" Full HD screen is ideal for everyday work. 2K or 4K only matters for design and video work, and it drains the battery faster.

Condition. This is the single biggest saving available. A refurbished (C-REF) laptop is fully restored at the factory and carries an official warranty, but costs meaningfully less than new. Open-box units were never used at all — only the packaging was opened.

Where you shouldn't save

RAM. 8GB is the floor. Take 16GB if you can. When RAM is short, even a good processor feels slow — and on many models it can't be upgraded later.

SSD. SSD only, never HDD. 256GB fills up fast; 512GB is far more comfortable. This affects overall system speed more than anything else.

Warranty. If a privately-bought laptop breaks, nobody is obliged to fix it. An official warranty is part of the price, not an extra cost.

What a realistic budget looks like

A configuration that covers study, office work and everyday use — 8–16GB RAM, 256–512GB SSD — is available at the lower end of the price range. If the budget is tight, look at refurbished or open-box units: they give you new-laptop quality for noticeably less.
